Unlike many countries, cashiers do not have scales. You MUST weigh your fruit/veg and stick the price tag on the bag before you reach the checkout. Look for the large number on the shelf label.

Only beer, cider, and lonkero under 5.5% ABV. Sales stop rigidly at 21:00. Even if you are in the queue, registers will block the sale at exactly 21:01.
State monopoly for everything stronger. Usually open 09:00-21:00, but often shorter in resorts (e.g., 10:00-18:00). Closed on Sundays.

The main hub for the southern side. A full-service market with daily staples, local produce, Posti services, and an adjacent SEO gas station.
Ski Tip: Smaller grocery shop now open at Ylläsjärvi Ski Resort (near ticket office).
