Taxis in Lapland are high-quality, safe, and expensive. With deregulation in 2018, prices now vary between companies. Here is how to navigate the local dispatch systems and what you should expect to pay for common routes.
The Pricing Reality

Since deregulation, taxi operators can set their own rates. Meters can be eye-wateringly expensive for long journeys.

- ● Most resort transfers have "standard" fixed rates — verify this with the driver.
- ● All Finnish taxis accept major credit cards (Visa/Mastercard/Amex).
